Services at Our Saviour Lutheran Church
Our Saviour Lutheran Church is a community of faith which is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are located just east of Warrenton on Route 605, Dumfries Road.
We worship together on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and celebrate Holy Communion at each service. Anyone who is baptized and a believer is welcome to join us at the Communion Table. Fall / Winter / Spring Special music is provided at almost every service as presented by our Vocal, Handbell or Chime choirs.
A fellowship hour is held in between services each Sunday and following the first Saturday service of the month (frequently a potluck dinner). Fellowship is not practiced after every Saturday service because we realize that many families may be going to dinner directly after the service. During Sunday services, Sunday School, and a Nursery are available; or children may attend adult church services with their parents. Children services are not offered on Saturday evening.
Sunday School occurs between Sunday Church services and is for everyone from 2 years old through adult. Sunday School is from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. every Sunday except for the fifth Sunday of months with five Sundays when we have a special brunch during this time period. Children's Church is a parallel youth service offered during the 10:30 a.m. Church service.
Parents may take children to the Nursery at any time. The Nursery is staffed by two adults, one of whom is paid and has had a background check and a volunteer who is a member from OSLC. The Nursery has pagers to help make parents feel more comfortable about leaving their children in the Nursery. Parents are reminded that they must come immediately after service to pick up their children from Children’s Church and Nursery as they are not released on their own.
