photographs) you think others would enjoy please send a message and we will
arrange to have them placed on line. We would especially like older photos
of the church and it's members. We can return any photographs after

Vacation Bible School 2008 - Sights and sounds of a Biblical marketplace were once again in our church building from July. Music, the grinding of grain, tribal chants and the marching of Roman soldiers filled the air. Average attendance was 70 children and 30 adults!
Shawn Smith Convert 2008 - As part of Celebration Sunday, Shawn Smith provided a concert of contemporary music ministry that included many favorites and audience participation.
Celebration Sunday 2008 - OSLC has this weekend to extend an invitation to the community and the church membership the activities and mission of the church. Activities include a concert, BBQ dinner and many booths set up to explain and welcome everyone.
Organ Concert 2008 - OSLC was proud install our new state of the art organ and a dedication concert was held.
Confirmation 2008 - OSLC was proud to confirm our youths after they completed a two year program.
30 Hour Famine 2008 - Our youth raised approximately 20, 000 dollars to help fight hunger throughout the world.
Saturday Evening Worship 2007 - We have a Saturday Night Service and here are a few snapshots to let you see what is going on. Pleas come join us every Saturday Night at 5:30 p.m.
GOLFF Camping 2007 - We had a great time camping at Charlottesville making friends, fishing, and worshipping in the outdoors.

PNG Dinner 2006 - A dinner was held in June 2006 on behalf of the VA Synod and our global companion synod, the New Guinea Islands District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea. OSLC welcomed Pastor Hynna Motec, President and Dacca Wagai, Youth Coordinator as well as Pastor Chip Gunsten.
Confirmation 2006 - OSLC was proud to confirm 27 youths after they completed a two year program.
7th Day Youth Retreat - Seventh Day is a VA Synod annual overnight event for 5th and 6th graders! It is held at Eagle Eyrie Conference Center in Lynchburg Virginia. February 2005
Winter Celebration is a gathering of
several hundred youth and adults for large group and
small group experiences with lots of worship, singing, and faith sharing. There
is also a big
chunk of free time on Saturday when we have our Talent Show and time late in
the evening to relax and talk with the other youth from your congregation.

German Choir Visit - The German Choir visited OSLC in the fall of 2004. There were many good times, site seeing trips and a concert. October 2004
Trunk or Treating - The Junior Youth provide a Halloween Party and "Trunk or Treating" for the youngsters of the church. October 2004
Mother and Daughter Banquet - In May 2004 the women of the church held their annual Mother and Daughter banquet. The event was enjoyed by all and gave the women of the church a special time to fellowship with their sisters in Christ. May 2004
Fauquier Food Bank - The Fauquier Food Bank is an effort of the county in cooperation with several area churches. The food is distributed on one Saturday each month. OSLC is responsible to pick up the food from the warehouse and distribute two times a year. April 2004
Italian Dinner Theater - The Junior Youth once again held their very popular Italian Dinner Theater. April 2004
45th Anniversary Member Lunch - OSLC kicked off it's 45th Anniversary Celebration with a lunch to honor many of the members of the church who have been with us for over 20 years. March 2004
Shrove Tuesday 2004 - The Junior Youth hosted the OSLC annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper in February. A good meal was had by all and thanks to everyone who helped. February 2004
The Christmas Bazaar - The annual Church Christmas Bazaar has been a tradition of OSLC of over 15 years. The bazaar raises funds for social ministries both inside and outside of OSLC. The event is sponsored by the women of the church. November 2003

Haven Fence Project - The Men's Group decided they would undertake the project of building fencing for the Haven as part of an overall project to add a children's playground at the shelter. - July 2003
Vacation Bible School 2003 - Over 40 children plus youth assistants and adults made the Vacation Bible School a grand success. It was fun for all and many new faces attended, some gaining their first OSLC (and maybe even church) experience. What an outreach!! July 2003
2003 National Youth Gathering - Atlanta, GA. This was the first time that OSLC has sent a group and it has been a highlight of youth from others who have participated in the past. July 2003
Church Picnic 2003 - The church picnic was a great success thanks to the fellowship committee and Boy Scout Troop 180 who provided food and demonstrations of their activities and equipment during the event. June 2003

Marti Gras Dinner Dance - A good time was
had by all at the Sr. Youth Mardi Gras Dinner/Dance and silent Auction to raise
funds toward our trip to 2003 National Youth Gathering. March 2003
